Reading and the evidence checklist work without optional storage. Open Cookie Settings to review your choice at any time.
Your reading choice
Allow reading storage enables article-position memory on this device. Keep optional reading off leaves that feature off. Manage preferences lets you choose it individually. Closing the settings without saving does not accept optional storage. Invalid or expired choices default to off.
A Cookie Settings link is available throughout the publication. Without JavaScript, it opens this policy; use your browser’s site-data controls to remove previously saved information. If storage is restricted, the feature reports the limitation and keeps optional behavior off.
Storage inventory
Reading-feature storage
- wsr_privacy_v1 · first-party cookie
- Records preference version, reading choice and timestamp after a deliberate saved choice. Maximum 180 days, scoped to this website path. A later choice replaces it; browser site-data controls can remove it.
- wsr_reading_v1 · localStorage
- Optional article paths, reading positions and timestamps. Initialized only after reading-position consent, including an empty record on non-article pages. Entries expire after 180 days and are pruned when the feature reads or writes them; at most 30 records are retained by the feature. Rejecting or disabling the option attempts to remove the record. Browsers may retain unused localStorage until it is accessed or removed through browser controls.
- Message-evidence category choices
- Current-page memory only. The evidence checklist does not persist these choices; Reset clears them.
Other website technologies
The editorial checklist and reading controls do not include analytics, advertising tags or third-party media players. Other WordPress plugins, embedded content and hosting services can operate separately. Reading-preference controls govern only the reading feature; they do not control those services or establish a complete inventory of the website.
WordPress sign-in and administration may use separate authentication cookies for signed-in users. These reading controls do not remove authentication cookies, email, server logs or records at linked websites. This list describes reading-feature storage and any additional details the publisher has supplied.
Other services
The Privacy Policy describes hosting, correspondence and other services. Reading-preference controls apply only to this publication’s reading feature. They do not control separately listed external technologies or another website.
Withdrawal and deletion are different
Rejecting optional reading storage stops future article-position storage and attempts to delete its saved record. It does not delete email, server logs, downloaded files or employer records. Your choice applies to this browser and website path; another device may have a different choice.
The evidence checklist uses current-page memory and does not depend on reading storage. Privacy questions can be sent to lisatomas@gmail.com.
